Do you know that parking rates are ridiculously high in Music City? Rates starts at $10 and additional charges apply on succeeding hours and for lost ticket. I think that's one of the reason people are giving Nashville the nickname "Cashville," apart from the high cost of living. That's why I'm a big fan of hop-on, hop-off.

This is the Tennessee Map Plaza, located at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and one of the stops of the Hop-on Hop off. This is a massive green space of everything "Tennessee," from history with the World War II Memorial, to culture and natural wonders. The park opened in 1996 for Tennessee's bicentennial celebrations.

Not to be missed at the park is the Bicentennial Carillon. The bells ring between 6:00am to 11:00pm on top of the hour and plays a full Tennessee song.

It felt like traveling outside of America and into Greece upon visiting The Parthenon at the Centennial Park (not to be confused with the Bicentennial Park) and one of the popular stops of Hop-on Hop-off. This full-scale replica of the ancient Greek symbol houses a number of art galleries by American artists.

This 42-foot replica of the statue of Athena is the highlight of the galleries at The Parthenon. Admission tickets are available at the entrance.

If I were to pick a favorite stop along the route, it would be this pedestrian bridge. The Shelby Street Bridge spanning the Cumberland River gives a great view of the Nashville skyline. The bridge is now known as the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, in honor of Nashville-born journalist, writer and political figure. He is best remembered for defending the First Amendment Rights.
